A 16-quart fridge freezer that slides under the factory bench seat in our VS30 Sprinter. It’s held 0°F for a month straight.

Setpower MF15: the freezer that fits under the Sprinter bench

Quick take

If you have a Sprinter, especially a VS30, this is the extra fridge to get. It fits under the factory bench seat, goes down to -4°F, and ours has sat at 0°F for the last month with zero deviation and zero issues. About $120 when it’s on sale.

We bought this with our own money. No brand paid for this review.

Good for

  • Sprinter owners, especially VS30, who want a second fridge or a dedicated freezer
  • Families who need a small freezer for meat, snacks or breast milk
  • Anyone after an extra small fridge without spending a lot

Skip it if

  • Anyone who wants one fridge for all their food. At 16 quarts it’s an extra, not your main fridge.

Where it lives

It fits under the factory bench seat in our VS30 Sprinter. That’s space most of us aren’t using, and now it holds a freezer.

What we use it for

We run it as a dedicated freezer: meat, cold snacks, and frozen breast milk for the baby. It goes down to -4°F, so it’s a real freezer, not just a cold box.

Power

It plugs into a regular wall outlet or the van’s 12V cigarette lighter socket.

A month in

It’s been sitting at 0°F for the last month with zero deviation. Zero issues so far.

Price and verdict

It’s about $120 when Setpower runs a sale, which is excellent value for what it does. We highly suggest it as an extra small fridge, especially if you have a VS30 Sprinter.
